1969
Gottlieb’s “Mibs” Super game layout so good Gottlieb made it
three different times. The first was 1962 “Rack a Ball” followed by
1964 “Bowling Queen” finally this 1969 “Mibs” all had the same
playfield with different artwork. Great game play with more
difficult scoring the longer the game lasts. Seven ways to win free
games, four specials, high scores, marbles specials and a match
feature. Animation unit drops down white and red marbles to win free
games. Time warped Hippie girls playing marbles at 1930’s style
college on the backglass. (Girls didn’t play marbles at my college)
Mibs was really popular in the late 60’s. Retro artwork in nearly
new restored condition a cute pinball machine with an Ivy League
look about it. These single player wedgehead (cabinet style) with
animation units (rolling marbles in the head) are among the most
collectable of all vintage pinball machines. Mibs is one of the last
Gottlieb’s with small flippers. Freshly restored April 2011 "Mibs"
is ready for your gameroom. Some of the brand new parts installed on
this excellent example are all new posts, rubber, lamps, coin door,
coin entries, flipper bats, flipper buttons, legs levelers and
bolts, locks, shooter and new start button. just the way you would
do it if you had the time, parts, know how and an excellent
condition Mibs to start with.
Some "new" movies that came out in 1969 the year this like new Mibs
was "new". Easy Rider, Midnight Cowboy and True Grit don't wait
another 3 or 4 decades to get that vintage pinball machine you
always wanted. They may all be gone.
