1974
Gottlieb's futuristic "Magnotron" Robot themed pinball.
Great condition, super clean and restored, reliable pinball
action for four players. Sister to the 2 player "Duotron"
featuring a captive ball, ball return gate, countdown bonus,
three pop bumpers and two kick up lanes for top to bottom
pinball fun from 1974. Magnotron would make a great first
pinball machine or a wonderful complement to later robot pinball
machines like Pinbot and Bride of Pinbot or Gottlieb's own
Centigrade 37 which has similar artwork.
During 1974 when Magnotron was new the Symbionese Liberation
Army kidnaps Patricia Hearst, the 19-year-old granddaughter of
publisher William Randolph Hearst. My how time flies, don't wait
or this great Gottlieb classic will be winging it's way to some
other happy family's gameroom.
Notable features:
Captive ball that boosts the bonus
Center "Cup" opens gate and scores up to 5,000 points Return
to Shooter Gate for longer games at home Side Kickers shoot the
ball across the top of the playfield
3 Rebuilt Pop Bumpers
Tons of fun
Excellent glass, excellent playfield and a very good cabinet
nicely touched up. Pinrescue can restore the cabinet and chrome
but it would almost double Magnotron's price. Freshly tuned
(Sept 2008) for a long happy life in your game room. Pinrescue
has a hard time keeping up with the tremendous demand for
quality restored 1970 pinball machines. Don't wait or Magnotron
will be ringing bells in someone else's home.
Pinrescue has safely shipped all over the world. We have
safely shipped to over 40 of the States. White glove, inside,
insured, ready to plug in and play runs $400.
