Gottlieb's "Skyline" Classic vintage pinball with dual
animation (elevator doors open and floor arrow moves) cute
family friendly big city fun. Skyline is one of the more
desirable pinball machines from the 1960's. Pinrescue and
everyone else loves to watch the elevator doors opening every
time you advance the floor arrow. Behind the elevator door is a
comical couple doing the jitterbug! (see detailed picture below)
This is the first Skyline we have been able to list on our
webpage. Freshly restored September 2018.
We are lucky to also have two 1966 Cross
towns right now (sister machine to Skyline) it also has the
animated doors but they are on a subway. Rare to have both! They
are great playing vintage classics. Restored the way you would
do it if you had the time, parts and ability and a nice Skyline
to begin with, over 30 hours labor doing the mechanicals and
tons of brand new parts in the restoration (completed mid
September 2018).
In Pinrescue’s opinion 1965 was the best year
for Gottlieb’s collectable silver posts games Skyline,
Thoro-bred, Kings and Queens, Hi Dolly, Cowpoke, Buckaroo, Dodge
City, Bank a Ball, Flipper Pool, Ice Revue, Paradise and
Pleasure Isle. Just one great Gottlieb game after another. 1965
was quite a year for rock music the Beatles released Rubber
Soul, Bob Dylan Highway 61, the Who My Generation a heck of a
year for rock and roll and pinball.

Brand new flippers, brand new pop bumpers,
new shooter, ball push up, playfield glass, legs, locks, new
bulls eye targets and hardware.
Pinrescue has real trouble trying to keep
restored Gottlieb pinball machines in stock. Don’t wait or this
great playing nice looking Skyline will be on it’s way to
someone else’s game room.
Near mint original art glass, beautiful
playfield and a very nice looking original cabinet .This Skyline plays as good as new hard to
believe it is 53 years old. Playing this machine is like taking
a trip back in time.
